The Eppendorf University Hospital, with its comprehensive range of specialist medical care, is also particularly easy to reach. It is only about 1.5 km away on foot.

The district has outstanding public transport connections with the U2 underground line and the very popular Metrobus line 5. Plans are under- way to extend the U5 underground line with a stop at Siemersplatz/Behrmannplatz, only about 500 metres away on foot. With it, the city centre will be even quicker to reach. Lokstedter Steindamm forms the central north-south axis, while Julius- Vosseler-Strasse and Osterfeldstrasse provide a fast east-west connection.
